I come to the table with background knowledge of the structure and deliverables required by most Public Education Departments. Some of the specific deliverables may include district academic and educational plans, and how the use of grant funds offered to districts and schools for supplemental funds will be used to support ongoing improvement for student outcomes.I have extensive experience supporting districts and schools designated via the Every Student Succeeds Act, or ESSA, as "in need of improvement." This work has included, but has not been limited to, strategic planning for schools facing closure as a response to continuous years of stagnant student performance in general, but also in direct response to the lack of improvement in outcomes for students in several subgroups., Beyond strategic planning, I have been a direct support for site and district leaders throughout the duration of the implementation of change management with respect to the instructional infrastructure. This includes facilitating professional learning for teachers, school leadership teams, and site principals of ESSA designated schools on topics such as branding and rebranding schools, creating a pathway to student and teacher efficacy, storytelling through data, facilitating instructional rounds, and enhancing your PLC.

I established School House Strategies in 2024, drawing on over thirty years of experience in public, private, and homeschool education across various roles and positions. At School House Strategies, I embrace the philosophy that professional learning is the cornerstone of maintaining high-quality teaching and learning for all students. As research and evidence in education continuously evolve, I ensure that my work is guided by the latest research base, striving to deliver the highest quality training for educational staff.I firmly believe that one non-negotiable element of delivering high-quality professional learning is to deeply understand the goals of the institution I’m serving. It’s essential to align any presentation or training with those stated goals. My primary mission is to support schools and districts as they work toward achieving their unique objectives for their students and educational staff. I believe that stronger PreK–12 schools create stronger communities, empowering individuals to excel in post-school industries, academic pathways, or entrepreneurial ventures.
